Gyde Launches Renewals AI
AUSTIN, Texas — September 1, 2026 — Gyde, the AI-native brokerage platform, today launched its renewals AI solution to transform workflows so brokers can focus on growth during the Medicare and Individual and Family Plan enrollment seasons. From needs assessments and scheduling to welcome calls, Gyde’s renewals AI workflows were designed with the client experience and compliance in mind. In a season that often forces brokers to choose between high-touch service of their existing book and new growth, AI-powered renewals allow brokers to achieve both without compromise.
With carrier market exits, rising premiums and benefit changes, millions of Americans will need to shop for new health coverage for 2027. The brokers who support them will see more active renewals and client questions than in past years. Without automation, brokers won’t be able to meet this demand and renew clients without sacrificing client service or new enrollments.
“Amid concerns that AI will eliminate broker jobs, our partners have welcomed automation of the admin work that keeps their brokers from being able to serve clients and grow their business. This Q4 will require more active renewals than we’ve historically seen, which will further compound the capacity challenge Gyde’s platform was built to solve,” said Will Johnson, Co-Founder and CEO of Gyde. “And this capacity problem will only get more acute as half of this country's health insurance brokers retire over the next ten years and only one person enters the profession for every six who leave. It is vital that we bolster our insurance advisory capacity so Americans can navigate our changing insurance markets with peace of mind. Our goal is to empower brokers to spend this renewal season focused on the relationships and judgement calls that they joined the profession to provide.”
The renewals solution adds new capabilities to GydeOS, Gyde's AI Agent Management System (AiMS), and Gia, Gyde's Intelligent Assistant, transforming the broker’s renewals workflow from end to end. Beginning September 15, Gia will kick off needs assessment outreach by texting clients on behalf of participating brokers. The outreach will capture what has changed in the client’s life, health, and income over the past year. Once 2027 plan information is officially released, brokers will find plan disruption analysis for each of their clients in GydeOS. This analysis includes year-over-year plan status, cost, and benefit changes—such as terminations, service-area reductions, premiums, deductibles, copays, drug coverage, and allowances. This information is combined with the needs assessment to identify who should review coverage with their broker.
When the enrollment periods begin, Gia contacts each client to share any plan changes impacting their coverage. She’ll confirm a passive renewal or book a plan review on the broker's calendar. Brokers using GydeOS will start each day with booked appointments and complete client context so they can have more efficient and personalized advisory conversations, focused on the clients who need them most. They can devote the hours they save to new enrollments and cross-selling to dramatically grow their book. After the enrollment period, Gia contacts newly enrolled clients to confirm payment and answer questions, preventing rapid disenrollments.
Throughout the process, Gia acts as a broker copilot, answering questions about plans, benefits, formularies, and provider networks in seconds by reading the client’s plan documents. Brokers using Gia report saving hours each week while resolving client issues faster. Gia’s answers are grounded in official carrier plan documents and citations point brokers to the exact page with the information they need.
“The challenge with building our AI renewals experience was to transform and orchestrate the entire renewals process, not just one part of it, while respecting vital regulations, data security, and compliance requirements. Our team drew on years of experience at Oscar Health, Stripe, Duckbill, and more to deliver a cutting-edge solution built up to the standards of our leading financial and insurance institutions,” said Co-Founder and COO Sam Wiener. “In rolling the system out to partner agencies, we see more opportunities to hire because of the growth this will create. We’re proud to say we have earned a perfect NPS score of 100 from our acquired agency partners.”
“Some of our agents were skeptical when we introduced this, because they had been sold technology before that added work rather than removing it,” said Mike Mathweg, CEO of WKM and a Gyde Partner. “After they committed to using Gia for two weeks to speed up client service work, they reported saving up to 75 minutes per broker per day. That’s when they started asking what else Gia could handle for them. Gyde’s renewals AI is going to provide critical support in a season where a meaningful share of clients will have to move to a different plan.”
Gyde launched in January 2026 with $60 million in financing led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. In the seven months since, the company has closed seven acquisitions and commands a growing hierarchy that serves hundreds of agencies, thousands of agents, and more than 100,000 clients across Medicare, Individual and Family Plans, and Employee Benefits. Demand reinforces that this momentum will accelerate in 2027 as more brokers seek partners to maximize the value of their firm, modernize their operations with AI technology, and put their agents in a position to deliver superior client experiences across insurance, wealth, and health. Gyde’s renewals AI is available for free to brokers at Gyde-owned agencies and their downline partners.
