Austin, Texas — October 8, 2026 — We Know Medicare (WKM), a Medicare brokerage powered by Gyde, has acquired Medical Plans of Idaho, an independent agency based in Meridian, Idaho. The agency has helped individuals, families, seniors, and small employers find coverage since 1994. Today, Gyde is proud to welcome Steve Marsh and the Medical Plans of Idaho team to our platform.

Gyde acquired WKM in May with the intention for WKM CEO Mike Mathweg to continue doing what he does best: bringing great Medicare businesses into a next-generation, AI-enabled platform. Medical Plans of Idaho is the first agency acquired by a Gyde Partner, and it shows how the Gyde model is meant to work. Partner agencies like WKM can continue to grow through acquisition, with Gyde's capital, technology, and operational support behind them.

Steve founded Medical Plans of Idaho in 1994 to help individuals and families find quality, affordable health insurance. Over three decades, the family-run agency has become a trusted local resource across Medicare, individual and family health plans, small group benefits, and dental, vision, and life coverage. 

For WKM, the deal extends its footprint into Idaho and adds long-standing relationships with the state's leading regional carriers. Medical Plans of Idaho's Individual and Family Plan (IFP) and small group business also broadens WKM beyond Medicare, in line with Gyde's commitment to serving clients across Medicare, IFP, and employee benefits.

Steve will stay on to lead the Medical Plans of Idaho team as part of WKM. The team's client relationships and carrier partnerships all carry forward. The platform works alongside the systems the team already uses.

The acquisition continues the momentum Gyde has built in 2026, following its launch with $60 million in funding led by Lightspeed and partnerships with Avid Health, Benavest, We Know Medicare, Osborne Insurance, and most recently, Capstone Benefits Consulting.
